- Assists in planning and developing educational components of various national health programmes including primary health care.
- Provides educational support to primary health care and other national health programmes.
- Provides necessary support to Health Education Officers at various levels in the implementation of community-based health education activities.
- Supervises and monitors health education activities in the field.
- Develops plans and programmes for observing important national and international days and weeks.
- Assists in organizing health education campaigns, processions, competitions, film shows and exhibitions, debates, etc.
- Provides necessary educational support in times of emergency, such as epidemics, floods, or other natural disasters.
